FAQS
How do you deal with behavioural issues?
Educators have a positive approach to all children and recognise that all children are different. We have a clear set of realistic guidelines for children’s behaviour and any issues are dealt with in consultation with parents.
What do I need to bring in for my child?
The Centre provides all meals and drinks, sheets for rest time and a personally-marked Cancer Council approved hat for outdoor play. Sunscreen is also supplied. However, we suggest that your child brings a bag each day with a change of clothes (in case of an ‘accident’). We also ask that clothes be clearly marked with your child’s name for easy identification. Your child may also bring in a favourite soft toy for Rest Time.
What is your injury/illness policy?
If your child is injured or becomes ill while at the Centre, we will contact you. Should your child require immediate medical attention, we will apply first aid and, if necessary call an ambulance should neither parent nor emergency contact person(s) be contactable.
A written report will be prepared which you will be asked to read and sign.
What is your complaints policy?
Should you have any complaints or concerns, you may raise them with the Director who will work with you to try and resolve the issue. The matter will remain strictly confidential unless you both agree that it is appropriate to inform relevant staff members.
What is your Sleep & Rest Policy?
Rest Time is a relaxing time of the day for children to rest their bodies and we recognise that effective rest and sleep strategies are important factors in ensuring a child feels secure and safe in a childcare environment.
We consult with families about their child’s individual needs and take into consideration the different values and parenting beliefs - cultural or otherwise.
